The Lord Jesus Christ extends love and mercy to all people of the earth. He is a living
and personal God, caring deeply for you as an individual. When Jesus was ministering on
earth in the 30 A.D. time frame He expressed His love by caring, listening, healing and
convicting the heart of men, women and children. He expressed a love representative of
God's kingdom. He exposed God the Father, not as a God of dictatorship, but as a God that
cares enough to send His only Son to heal and save (read the book of Luke - it explains
the human aspect of Jesus).
Jesus, the Son of God, was human - He cried at Lazarus' death, He was tired by His
ministering and needed rest, He was angered by the abuse of the temple, He cared by
healing many, many people. One story tells of His ministering by healing. The crippled man
by the pool of Bethesda.
When Jesus first met the man, He ask if he wanted to be made well (a question for all of
us) (read John 5). The man indicated yes, then Jesus told him to "Rise, take up his
bed and walk".
Later in the temple, Jesus and the man met again. Jesus told him "See you have been
made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you." Jesus cared enough to warn
the man to live a life worthy of the his restoration to health, a gift from God.
A God of Love must also be a God of justice, judging all according to our life choices.
This is to be done in the last days of the earth's history that we are living. It is a
time of probation. No one knows when this time will end and our fate or reward will be
sealed forever. Jesus will return in the clouds of glory to end the earth's history as we
know it today. And that day He said would come as a "thief in the night." (Read
Matthew 25)
Let's explore why you are special, and why God invites you to spend life eternally with
him. A friendship forever with Him.
The beginning of God's love (read Genesis
chapters 1 and 2)
In the beginning God created the heavens and
earth.
... Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our own
image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over
the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping
thing that creeps on the earth."
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God
He created him; male and female He created them.
Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be
fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the
sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."

Where is God's love and mercy for me now, as a sinner...?
"For God (the Father) so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
The Lord Jesus
John 3:16
New King James Version
How do I know God cares...?
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some
count slackness, but is longsuffering (patient) toward us, not willing that any should
perish but that we all should come to repentance.
The Apostle Peter
2 Peter 3:9
New King James Version
What is this promise...?
Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be
diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; and account that the
longsuffering of our Lord is salvation -
The Apostle Peter
2 Peter 13-15
New King James Version
What will happen to the earth and why should I care to accept God's love...?
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the
night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt
with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved,
what manner of persons ought you to be - in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and
hastening the coming of the day of the God,
The Apostle Peter
